The North West Region has a new World Champion!

Astley & Tyldesley rider Emily Burgess, raced unbeaten to win the U16 Girls World Individual title at Leszno, Poland.

Despite being just 15 years old, Emily was the stand out British Women’s performer in the World Championships tournament, losing only one race out of her four matches ridden. Her only defeat saw her finish 2nd in the Women’s World Individual Final to 23 year old Australian Lucy Millikin.

Emily raced unbeaten as England won the Women’s World Cup and Great Britain won the Women’s Federations Cup.

A&T’s Steve Harris was another top performer for the England team which won the Veterans World Cup and for the Great Britain team which won the Veterans Federations Cup.
